"Taking my place in the tent"
6th class were represented by Patrick & Zoe at a celebration of all the children who made their confirmation with Bishop Denis Nulty in the Kildare and Leighlin Diosece.
The two children travelled with Ms Moore and Mr Mc Evoy to the Cathedral in Carlow on Friday 16th June. The remaining 6th class tuned into the livestream from their classroom in Timahoe.
We were privileged to enjoy a service with Bishop Nulty and Colm Flynn who is an Irish Broadcaster based in Rome but working all over the world.
Colm spoke about his own work and career path. He is a very interesting man who interviews famous people about their faith and now lives and works in Rome.
He interviewed Bishop Denis and three young adults from Carlow, Naas and Portlaoise who all made the decision to take their place in Tent and continue to grow in their faith by being actively involved in their parishes.
We were treated to fantastic music by Newbridge Gospel Choir and were inspired by the stories of other people's faith journey.
Patrick even got to ask the Bishop a question and tell the packed cathedral about his own hopes to one day be a dairy farmer.
Hopefully those who joined us on-line got a flavour of the joy filled event.
