Sixth class enjoyed learning all about St. Brigid.
She is a patron saint of Ireland and symbolises the beginning of Spring. We celebrate her feast day on the 1st of February, half way between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.
Brigid had a love of nature and helping others. We are inspired by her generous spirit as we prepare for Confirmation.
We made St. Brigids day crosses with local reeds.
St. Brigid is our only female patron, we celebrate many other talented and creative women from Ireland this bank holiday.
