What a way to end Wellness Week in Scoil Mhuire Fatima. It is safe to say that a most enjoyable day was had by all.
The children from junior infants to second class warmed up with the help of Laois Sports Partnership. They set off on their tracks from the school gates and completed their 1km track in good time.
Third to sixth class followed shortly afterwards and it was very evident the children had been training hard.
Mr McEvoy, Ms Moore, Mr Culleton and Mr Walsh joined the children for the run along with parent David McEvoy.
The route was carefully planned out and Garda Brian Kelly and members of the parents association managed the traffic and ensured all children were on track safely. Thank you!
After the run it was time for a well earned chocolate milk and granola bar. The milk was kindly sponsored by Avonmore and the parents association provided the granola bars.
€416.07 and counting was raised for the Earthquake appeal. Thank you.
