Bike week began in Timahoe NS as 6th class students rolled along the Vicarstown Blue way. The children covered 10km in the sunshine fueled by Ann Simpsons buns and hot chocolate and guided by the knowledgeable John Scully.
Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of the benefits of cycling. As the 6th class students look towards secondary school having their own bike is a valuable independent aid.

Funding has been provided by the Department of Transport to Laois County Council and other Local Authorities across the country to contribute towards a variety of events both on the ground and online throughout the week. The cost of bike transport, school bus and refreshments was covered by Laois Co.Co. Thank you!
