The purpose of the Parents Association is to provide a structure through which the parents / guardians of children attending Timahoe National School can work together for the best possible education for their children. The Parents Association will work with the Principal, staff and Board of Management to build an effective partnership between home and school.

The Committee is elected on a yearly basis, with all parents encouraged to attend meetings which are held at convenient times throughout the year.

We are committed to supporting the school with additional funding for extracurricular activities for example helping with cost of buses for Cumann na mBunscoil matches and swimming.

We meet with the school principal and staff to liaise on a yearly basis discussing new requirements and the particular areas which need additional funding.

We keep parents informed of updates in school activities and additional events scheduled for the year.

We support the school in celebrating special events: providing assistance at an event and preparing and serving refreshments.

We hold a small number of fundraising events across the school-year.
